Privacy policy
How MG Digital Media Limited handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us.
Who we are
MG Digital Media Limited (MGDM) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at partner@mgdm.co or #5 Presidential Drive, Kanda, Accra, Ghana.
This notice covers the MGDM corporate website and related enquiries. Our media brands, apps and events have their own privacy information where their services collect information separately.
Information we collect
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, organisation, project requirements and correspondence. The enquiry form prepares a message on your device; MGDM receives it when you send it through your email app.
Visiting the website creates technical information needed to deliver and protect it, including network addresses, browser information, requested pages and security records. With your permission, optional tools also measure visits, interactions and campaign performance as described below.
How we use information
We use your information to answer enquiries, discuss and deliver work, manage partnerships and advertising, maintain business records and protect our services. We use only information relevant to these purposes.
Depending on the activity, the basis for processing may be your consent, steps you request before a contract, performance of a contract, a legal obligation or a legitimate interest, subject to Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time.
Analytics and advertising
Optional audience analytics help us understand visits, traffic sources and content performance. Session replay and heatmaps help us understand how pages are used. Advertising tools measure campaigns and support relevant advertising on other platforms. Each purpose has a separate choice in Cookie settings.
These tools run only when configured for this website and you allow the relevant purpose. Depending on the enabled service, they may process page activity, device and browser information, approximate location and pseudonymous identifiers. Advertising providers may associate activity with their own identifiers or signed-in accounts.
We do not include enquiry messages, names or email addresses in our website analytics events. Form content is masked from session replay. Read the cookie policy for the services covered by these choices and their privacy notices.
Who receives information
Information is available to the MGDM team handling your request and service providers supporting our communications, cloud infrastructure, security and professional services. Where work involves another Media General business or a specialist collaborator, we share the information needed for that work. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect people, rights and systems.
Optional analytics and advertising providers receive information for the purposes you allow. Links to another website, social platform or app store take you to a service governed by its own privacy terms.
Processing outside Ghana
Our cloud infrastructure, communications services and service providers may process information outside Ghana. We consider the applicable data protection requirements and provider arrangements when using these services. Contact us if you need details about the handling of a particular enquiry or project record.
How long we keep information
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting work, taking account of contractual, accounting, legal and dispute requirements. Technical and measurement records are retained according to their purpose and the relevant service settings.
Cookie choices remain valid for up to 180 days. Provider cookies have their own lifetimes, explained in the cookie policy and linked notices. You can ask us about the retention period applicable to your information or request deletion where the law permits it.
Protecting information
We use access controls, encrypted connections and other technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security. If you believe information sent to MGDM has been exposed or misdirected, contact us promptly without resending sensitive material.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and its exceptions, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information or deletion where it should no longer be retained. You may object to qualifying processing and ask for direct marketing to stop. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it.
Contact partner@mgdm.co with enough information to identify your interaction with us. We may need proportionate verification before responding. You can also raise a concern with Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
Open Cookie settings in the footer to change optional tracking choices. Withdrawal stops future optional collection on this website; it does not automatically delete information already received by a provider.
Children
This corporate website is intended for business enquiries and information about MGDM. If you believe a child’s personal information has been sent to us in an enquiry, contact us so we can review it. Our other services address their own age limits and safeguards.
Updates
We update this notice when our practices change. The date above identifies the current version. We ask for a new cookie choice when the relevant tracking configuration or consent notice changes.
